The British Pound traded near the 1.3200 level against the US Dollar, closing around 1.3210 on Monday, supported by Brent crude oil prices rising above $107 a barrel. Earlier, the pair climbed just above 1.3250 before London’s market open but retreated alongside the crude price increase, according to FX Street.

FX Street noted that since September 24, every trading session has seen GBP/USD bottom within approximately 25 pips of 1.3200, marking Monday as the 13th consecutive session maintaining this range. This persistent support highlights a stable consolidation phase for the currency pair amid fluctuating commodity prices.

For Japanese investors, monitoring the GBP/USD’s resilience amid higher energy prices is crucial, as shifts in commodity markets can influence broader risk sentiment and currency flows affecting global equities and FX markets.
