The British Pound slipped against both the US Dollar and Japanese Yen amid hawkish signals from the Federal Reserve and anticipation of upcoming policy decisions from the Bank of England and Bank of Japan. According to FX Street, the GBP/USD pair faced selling pressure near the 1.3345 level during early European trading hours on Thursday.

FX Street also noted that the US Dollar gained ground against the British Pound, supported by the Fed's firm stance and growing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. Meanwhile, the GBP/JPY cross struggled to build on the previous day's recovery from around 217.15, encountering selling pressure during the Asian session.

Japanese investors remain cautious as the Bank of Japan's monetary policy decisions approach, with currency moves reflecting broader market uncertainty ahead of key central bank announcements.
