The EUR/USD currency pair is showing signs of increased downside momentum, with technical indicators suggesting a bearish trend, according to FX Street. UOB’s Quek Ser Leang notes that the 21-day exponential moving average (EMA) is nearing a bearish crossover below the 55-day EMA, a key signal for further weakness.
Additionally, the pair has broken below the Ichimoku cloud and several important moving averages, reinforcing the negative outlook. Support levels to watch are at 1.1400, 1.1353, and 1.1324, which could provide temporary relief if tested.
For Japanese investors, the weakening euro against the dollar could influence cross-border trade and investment flows, especially in FX and equities markets where currency fluctuations impact valuations.
