Strong foreign-currency inflows linked to the Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) special interventions have supported the Indian Rupee (INR), according to FX Street. These inflows have also helped reinforce the central bank's foreign exchange buffer, providing greater stability amidst global market fluctuations.

Christopher Wong from OCBC highlighted that the RBI’s targeted measures have played a key role in bolstering the INR, reflecting increased investor confidence and effective management of currency volatility. This enhanced FX buffer positions the RBI to better manage external shocks going forward.

For Japanese investors and traders, monitoring the INR’s movements and RBI policies is increasingly important as India’s growing economic ties with Japan and Asia continue to influence regional FX and equity markets.
