ING analyst Francesco Pesole shared his outlook on the Norwegian Krone and Norges Bank's upcoming monetary policy decisions. According to FX Street, Pesole expects the central bank to maintain its key interest rate at 4.25% in today's meeting.
However, Pesole also anticipates another rate increase later this year. Despite this, he warns of downside risks due to benign underlying inflation readings (CPI-ATE), which could lead to less hawkish communication from Norges Bank.
This cautious stance comes as global markets, including Japan's, closely monitor central bank actions amid shifting inflation dynamics and currency fluctuations affecting trade and investment flows.
