The USD/CAD currency pair slipped below the key 1.4000 level, trading around 1.3877 on Friday, marking its third consecutive weekly loss, according to FX Street.

These levels have not been seen since early July, highlighting a sustained downward trend for the pair over recent weeks. FX Street noted that the pair appears set to close the week on this weaker footing.

For Japanese investors, the USD/CAD’s decline may influence cross-currency strategies, especially as volatility in commodity-linked currencies impacts broader FX market dynamics in Asia.
