Major currency pairs displayed mixed performance early Monday, with EUR/USD and AUD/USD gaining while USD/CHF weakened amid a softer US Dollar. According to FX Street, EUR/USD hovered around 1.1590 during early European trading hours, with gains capped by hawkish remarks from Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh.
Meanwhile, AUD/USD traded in the mid-0.7100s at the start of the new week, remaining below the 0.7200 level through the Asian session, reflecting moderate strength. In contrast, USD/CHF declined to about 0.8090 during Asian hours as the US Dollar came under pressure following comments from Goldman Sachs chief economist Jan Hatzius, FX Street reported.
These movements come amid ongoing market sensitivity to Federal Reserve signals, a key factor for Japanese investors managing FX exposure and equity portfolios amid global monetary policy shifts.
