The Japanese Yen showed a modest recovery against the US Dollar on Thursday, with the USD/JPY pair trading near the 157.00 level. According to FX Street, the pair dipped 0.2% during the European trading session but is expected to remain within a short-term range of 156.90 to 157.80.

United Overseas Bank’s analysts Quek Ser Leang and Lee Sue Ann noted that despite the recent rally, the USD/JPY faces resistance around the 158.40 mark, suggesting limited upside in the near term. FX Street also highlighted that the pair remains supported after testing the 157.30 area.

For Japanese investors, this cautious price action reflects ongoing market uncertainty amid global economic factors, with the Yen’s modest rebound offering some relief after recent depreciation trends. The pair’s stability within a defined range may influence risk appetite across FX and equities markets in Japan.
