The GBP/USD currency pair has eased to around 1.3370, with market watchers anticipating a test of last week’s low near 1.3335. According to FX Street, analysts Quek Ser Leang and Lee Sue Ann from United Overseas Bank maintain a negative outlook on the pair amid this downward movement.
Despite the softening, the experts at United Overseas Bank do not foresee a sustained break below key support levels at 1.3335 and 1.3300. This suggests that while the pound may face short-term pressure against the dollar, a significant decline is unlikely in the near term.
For Japanese investors, monitoring GBP/USD movements remains important as fluctuations in major currency pairs can impact cross-border trade and investment flows, particularly in the FX and equities markets.
