Gold prices edged lower to around $4,410 during the early Asian session on Tuesday, pressured by stronger-than-expected US Nonfarm Payrolls data for August. This robust employment report has heightened expectations for an interest rate hike by the Federal Reserve later this month, according to FX Street.

Meanwhile, the Australian Dollar climbed 0.22% against the US Dollar, trading at 0.7218 after bouncing off daily lows near 0.7194. The move came amid thin trading volumes as US financial markets remained closed for the Labour Day Holiday, FX Street noted.

For Japanese investors, these developments underscore the ongoing impact of US economic data on precious metals and regional currencies, reinforcing the importance of monitoring Fed policy signals alongside currency market liquidity conditions.
