The Pound Sterling dropped to its lowest level in a month against the Japanese Yen, driven by a sharp appreciation of the Yen. According to FX Street, the GBP/JPY pair fell 1.13% on Wednesday and declined further by around 1.60% on Thursday, trading near 210.60.

This marked a significant move in the FX market as the Yen’s strength weighed heavily on the Pound, pushing the exchange rate down to levels not seen in the past four weeks. The drop reflects growing demand for the Yen, often viewed as a safe-haven currency in times of market uncertainty.

For Japanese investors and traders, the Yen's recent gains highlight the currency's resilience amid global volatility, impacting cross-border investments and FX strategies involving GBP and JPY pairs.
