The Australian Dollar weakened against most major currencies except the US Dollar despite hawkish minutes from the Reserve Bank of Australia's September policy meeting, FX Street reported on Tuesday. The central bank remains focused on inflation concerns, underscored by trimmed-mean inflation staying above its 2–3% target band for over a year.

According to FX Street citing Commerzbank's Volkmar Baur, the Reserve Bank of Australia is increasingly attentive to persistent inflationary pressures, which continue to influence monetary policy expectations. Despite this hawkish tone, the Aussie’s relative softness suggests market caution amid global economic uncertainties.

For Japanese investors, the Australian Dollar's performance is noteworthy given the close trade and investment links between Australia and Japan, especially in commodities and resource sectors, which can influence FX and equities markets in both countries.
