The US Dollar strengthened against the Japanese Yen on Tuesday, reaching close to the 160.00 yen level during the European trading session, according to FX Street. The USD/JPY pair was reported to be up 0.15% as it approached this key psychological level.

Following a peak near 160.20 yen, the currency pair pulled back slightly. Analysts from United Overseas Bank, Quek Ser Leang and Lee Sue Ann, noted that intraday price action is expected to consolidate between 159.50 and 160.15 yen, as upward momentum eases.

For Japanese market participants, the USD/JPY's near-160 level remains a critical focus, reflecting ongoing currency volatility amid global economic shifts and monetary policy considerations.
