The EUR/GBP currency pair remains under downward pressure, with limited potential for gains due to ongoing fiscal and political uncertainties in France. According to FX Street, these concerns are restricting the Euro’s upside, while sellers continue to dominate the market.

Francesco Pesole of ING expects the pair to trade within a narrow 0.84–0.85 range for several months. He also sees the likelihood of one or two interest rate hikes from the Bank of England increasing, which would provide further support to the British Pound.

For Japanese investors, monitoring EUR/GBP movements is important as shifts in European currencies can influence global risk sentiment and impact FX and equities markets, including Japan’s export-driven sectors.
