Recent foreign exchange measures aimed at attracting US Dollar inflows into India have added significant liquidity to the market, resulting in notably lower Indian Rupee rates. Despite this increased liquidity, the USD/INR exchange rate has seen only limited movement, according to FX Street.

Michael Wan of MUFG echoed these observations, highlighting that while the Indian Rupee’s rates have declined due to the added liquidity, the overall USD/INR pair remains relatively stable. These developments come amid efforts led by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to manage currency flows effectively.

For Japanese investors and traders, understanding India’s FX dynamics is crucial, as the country remains a key emerging market with growing economic ties to Japan and significant foreign capital flows influenced by US Dollar liquidity.
