The Japanese Yen strengthened to around the 157.40 level against the US Dollar during Tuesday's American session, building on gains secured over the past week, according to FX Street. This movement follows the release of soft JOLTS data, which has weighed on the US Dollar.

Michael Wan of MUFG noted that the South Korean Won, Thai Baht, Singapore Dollar, and to a lesser extent the Philippine Peso, stand to benefit from continued Yen strength due to their higher sensitivity to USD/JPY fluctuations. These Asian currencies have shown positive responses amid the Yen's gains.

For Japanese market participants, the Yen's recent appreciation offers a key signal amid ongoing global currency volatility, impacting export competitiveness and cross-border investment flows.
